Can Everyone be an Entrepreneur?

In recent times, there have been some debates and comparison between Entrepreneurs and those who work 9-5. I am of the opinion that not everyone can be an Entrepreneur, or rather everyone can be an Entrepreneur but not everyone should be an Entrepreneur.

To be a successful Entrepreneur is not beans. It is not for the faint-hearted. You have to be extra determined and tenacious. Being an Entrepreneur has everything to do with what you’re willing to do, to succeed.

Not everyone is cut out to be their own boss. We are all born differently. We were born with different gifts and talents. We have differing grace to do different things.

Don’t measure or determine your own race by another person’s journey. I know there’s a lot of pressure on everyone to be Entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship has become the new cool; I know. But if you are not called to be an Entrepreneur you will fail at it.

Discover what you have been made for; what you have been given grace for. The fact that you work a 9-5 or want to work a 9-5 does not make you any less than someone who wants to have their own business. Entrepreneurs are not superior to you.

I have noticed a lot of Entrepreneurs look down on 9-5ners, like they are not ambitious but if being an Entrepreneur is not your calling, please don’t be pressured to go into it.

Entrepreneurs do not tell you the truth when they talk about business. From a personal experience, it is hard, it is difficult. There will be times you will be tempted to quit, there will be times when there are no clients, but that’s where tenacity comes in. Please if you know you don’t have what it takes please stick to your 9-5.

9-5ners are not given enough credit honestly. It’s not easy combining a job, family, kids, chores and every other thing you want to do. We are important and valuable. If everybody had their own business or worked from home, who will do the other jobs? Please you are important and valuable; never ever look down on yourself if you are working for someone. And you can still be very successful.

For most being an employee is a stepping stone to where they want to be, even most Entrepreneurs work for someone first, before starting their own business.

Let everyone recognize their place and stick to it. Discover who you are and what you are meant to be. If you believe you are meant to be an Entrepreneur but you still work at a 9-5, don’t give up that dream. Recognize that where you are is a stepping stone and try and save for your business venture.

As always guys, I am rooting for you. I hope you had a productive day, because that’s the key to having a productive week; taking small productive steps every day.
