WORRY NOT

by - 14:05:00

Its funny how secular studies, even corroborates what the bible says, that we shouldn’t worry.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes?

See how the flowers of the filed grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you-you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ’What shall we eat? Or ‘What shall we drink? Or ‘What shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own”. Matt 6:25-34

When you worry, you’re taking the place of God over that situation, and in my opinion, worry is a form of pride. When you worry, you’re practically saying God is bigger than this issue and I can handle it myself.

I’m kinda guilty about this. Honestly if there’s a word like worrier, then I think I am one. But God is helping me and I’m really amazed at how less I worry these days.

I’ve noticed that whenever I worry, I have a headache (lol). Worrying not only displeases God, it affects our physical health, affects us mentally, even socially.
Proverbs 12:25, “Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up”.

As Christians we are to trust God fully, depending on Him alone that He’s able to deliver us out of every unpalatable situation. Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”.

There’s no situation no matter how big or small, God can handle it, all you need to do is tell him about, hand over everything to Him. When you handover to God, don’t go back to that issue, God is just ENOUGH for you.
Psalm 55:22a, “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you”.
