Call me naive no problem, but I never knew Premarital sex is so prevalent in our society especially amongst young people. Sincerely speaking I had no idea premarital sex is as common as eating food. Blogs, conversations with people, happenings etc are the avenues that made me know premarital sex is so common. This issue really saddens me to my core; honestly, I don’t know how we got to this level.

Ladies getting pregnant before their wedding is increasingly at an alarming rate. I heard a story some time back of a lady who said her prophet told her that she must get pregnant before she gets married. Imagine! I wonder what bible that prophet is reading.

It's really sickening the way my generation glorifies sex, immorality making evil look like the new cool. I was having a conversation with a friend and I mentioned that I’m a virgin and the person was so shocked and kept looking at me like I was weird.

As far as I’m concerned, there’s no reason whatsoever that justifies having sex before marriage.

I’m team purity, team virginity, team no sex before marriage and below are my reasons;

1. Both the bible and the Koran strongly forbid premarital sex. (I’ll be basing my arguments from the bible). It’s unfortunate that some Christians argue that there’s no place it’s clearly written that premarital sex is mentioned/wrong (unbelievable right, but some Christians have this argument). It’s clearly stated in 1 Cor 6:18.
2. The body is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord 1 Cor 6:13b and it should be presented to him as a Holy sacrifice. Rom 12:1
